1. Platform Scope
TaskObey provides a digital marketplace where clients purchase services and freelancers deliver work. TaskObey is not a party to the direct service contract beyond payment processing, policy enforcement, and dispute handling under these Terms.
2. Account Eligibility and Security
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity from your account and credentials.
- TaskObey may request identity or compliance verification to protect users and transactions.
3. Orders, Payments, and Delivery
- Orders are valid only after successful payment confirmation.
- Freelancers should deliver through order tools so records are preserved for support and disputes.
- Clients must review delivered work promptly and either approve or submit a valid revision request.
- TaskObey may hold funds for clearance periods before seller withdrawal, based on policy and risk controls.
4. Revisions, Cancellations, and Disputes
Revision requests must stay within agreed scope. If parties cannot resolve a conflict, either party may open a dispute. TaskObey may review messages, files, timeline data, and platform logs to issue a final decision, including partial/full refunds or order outcomes.
5. User Conduct
- No fraud, impersonation, abuse, harassment, or unlawful activity.
- No attempt to bypass platform safeguards, payment controls, or moderation decisions.
- No distribution of malware, stolen content, or content that violates third-party rights.
6. Intellectual Property
Freelancers retain ownership of pre-existing materials unless otherwise agreed. On full payment and completion, rights to final deliverables transfer to the client to the extent stated in the order. Both parties warrant they have rights to upload and use submitted materials.
7. Reviews and Reputation Integrity
Reviews must reflect genuine order experience. Coordinated manipulation, coercion, or false statements may lead to removal of reviews and account enforcement actions.
8. Suspension and Termination
TaskObey may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, legal requirements, or trust and safety standards. Serious violations may lead to permanent account removal and payment holds where required for investigation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskObey is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from marketplace use. Platform liability is limited to amounts paid to TaskObey in connection with the relevant order.
10. Changes to Terms
TaskObey may update these Terms as products, policies, and legal requirements evolve. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Fees, Taxes, and Currency
- Platform and processing fees may apply to buyers, sellers, or both, as shown in checkout or earnings views.
- Users are responsible for any taxes, duties, or reporting obligations applicable to their jurisdiction.
- Displayed currency conversion is for convenience and may vary based on provider rates or timing.
12. Payout Eligibility and Risk Holds
Seller earnings may be subject to review periods, reserve holds, and compliance checks before withdrawal. TaskObey may delay or restrict payout where fraud signals, policy violations, legal obligations, chargeback risk, or unresolved disputes are present.
13. Off-Platform Conduct and Circumvention
Attempts to bypass TaskObey protections (including fee evasion, moving active order payments off-platform, or concealing transaction context) may result in warning, account restrictions, cancellation actions, forfeiture of protections, or permanent suspension.
14. Content Standards and Reporting
- Users must not upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or malicious content.
- TaskObey may remove content that violates policy or applicable law.
- Users can report content or behavior through support tools for review and enforcement.
15. Confidentiality
Order-related documents, files, and communications may include confidential business information. Both parties agree to use received information only for order fulfillment, unless separate written permission or legal obligation applies.
16. Prohibited Marketplace Activities
- Account sharing, identity misrepresentation, fake portfolio or fake review activity.
- Manipulation of rankings, search visibility, or recommendation systems.
- Use of bots or scripts that harm platform reliability or user fairness.
- Requests for prohibited goods, unlawful services, or rights-violating deliverables.
17. Termination Effects
On account termination, user access may be disabled and open transactions may be paused or resolved according to policy. TaskObey may retain records needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
18. Governing Rules and Dispute Framework
These Terms are interpreted under applicable governing law as stated in TaskObey legal notices. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through platform support may proceed through the legally permitted forum for your region, subject to mandatory local consumer rights.
19. Severability and Entire Agreement
If one provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in effect. These Terms, together with related policies (including Privacy and Cookies), form the full agreement between users and TaskObey regarding marketplace use.
